Booking sites and DJ company comparisons

First option You can go directly to each companies website, read the information offered there, and try to get an idea of what the packages might cost. I have found that MOST of the local DJ companies will not post their prices or give you an instant quote unless you call them directly. A few of the companies post their prices right on the site. We offer an Instant quote system that lets you know how much a particular package will cost. After talking to many of our brides, the overwhelming majority told me that they prefer to get quotes without having to call each company. The suits us just fine.

Second option There are many third party websites designed to act as a service to help you find the right DJ company for you. Sites such as Wedding.com, Weddingwire.com, Gigsalad.com, GigMasters.com, Thumbtack, and many others. These sites offer you the option of letting you see all the different options through one site. Some sites charge you a booking fee ($15 to $35) if you choose to book a DJ through their site. Other sites charge the DJ company to give you a quote and bid DJ companies against each other. That may sound great, but it really isn’t for most brides. No one plans for their wedding day to be a disaster, but trying to hire your entertainment based solely on price will virtually guarantee a disappointing experience or possibly a complete disaster! I’ve been to weddings where the DJ has been disappointing. See my blog DJ FAILS to see some examples of how important your entertainment can be.  It takes planning, experience, talent and training to be an outstanding Entertainer.  I do have ads in many of these “booking sites”.  They offer a place to get reviews, and gather information of many companies through one single site.  I’m not a huge fan of thumbtack.  Thumbtack has DJs bid against each other.  If you are looking for a booking site, I would recommend wedding.com and weddingwire.com.  They give you the opportunity to compare all types of wedding vendors, not just DJs.
